As the Mirror reports (via French Buzzsport), Liverpool could be chasing Sofiane Boufal.

Boufal is currently Lille’s player, and he had a very impressive last season. Twelve goals were enough to put him on the radar of many big European clubs.

However, it is understood that the twenty-two-year-old attacking midfielder wants to participate in Europe’s Champions League next season, and Liverpool missing from that competition could cause possible troubles when it comes to acquiring Boufal.

On the other hand, the Moroccan international exploded last season, and it would be a shame if he didn’t continue his career somewhere outside of France. If the Reds act fast enough, who knows, maybe they will manage to bring him before some other club.

There is space in Liverpool’s midfield, as there are no real central attacking midfielders (except maybe Philippe Coutinho), so Boufan would surely be a good asset, should he decide to join the club.

He could join Liverpool’s young squad next season, and bring some new creative force to Klopp’s team.
