Report: Zidane may leave Real Madrid as they pursue La Liga Manager

According to Sport Mediaset Italia, Real Madrid are pursuing Unai Emery, Sevilla’s manager. Despite Zinedine Zidane’s good job in these six months, it seems like the club is still looking at other managers.

The report claims that a member of Florentino Pérez’s team has told Emery to hold off any talks with Sevilla for next season until Tuesday. The man has won the UEFA Europa League three consecutive times and is seen as one of the best coaches in Spain.

If Real Madrid were to lose the Milan final, the contract between Zidane at the club could be terminated and negotiations with Emery would begin. This comes as a surprise, as the Frenchman was expected to continue, despite any official announcement being released.

While the Sevilla man is a great manager, it may not be the right time to change managers again. The players are already creating a bond with Zidane and so many factors go into winning or losing finals.

Los Blancos should opt for continuity. However, the president always has the final say. Once the Champions League final concludes, we’ll soon find out how this information will evolve.
