Chelsea’s 18-year old star delivers message following first team bow

Chelsea youngster Fikayo Tomori has expressed his delight after making his first team debut for the Blues on Sunday

Chelsea finished off their disappointing campaign with a credible 1-1 draw against champions Leicester City on Sunday and the Stamford Bridge faithful will be glad that the season is finally over.

While there have not been too many positives for Chelsea to look back upon from the current campaign, perhaps a silver lining for the club has been the emergence of talented young players into the first team.

The likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Bertrand Traore, Kenedy and Tammy Abraham all have managed to impress after being given an opportunity this season and now the fans have another youngster to look forward to in the form of Fikayo Tomori.

Tomori is a very highly rated defender who won the Chelsea Academy Player of the Year award this season and the defender was handed a berth in the squad for the final game against Leicester City on Sunday.

Manager Guus Hiddink brought on Tomori during the 60th minute of the game, where he replaced Branislav Ivanovic and the 18-year old certainly acquitted himself well during his first appearance at a professional level.

Tomori was understandably left very delighted following the debut and the teenager has gone on to take to social media website Twitter to have his say on the experience.
