Guus Hiddink revealed in his press conference that John Terry has been offered a one-year contract extension by Club’s management. “Mariana Granovskaia and Bruce Buck met with John and his agent this week and offered him a one-year contract extension,” said Hiddink.

Hiddink accepted that this offer has come late and it is something which John and his family are considering. The speculation has finally ended whether or not Terry will continue at Stamford Bridge as the Club has offered him a new contract.

Retaining Terry’s services for another season will prove to be key factor for Chelsea next season. John missed a major part of this season due to injuries, which led to massive speculation whether or not he will continue at the Club.

Having John Terry at the back will provide the much needed reliability to Conte and his team. John Terry has always been a leader at the Stamford Bridge outfit. In addition, Conte can build the defensive line-up around Terry without being concerned much about someone as vocal as John.

Nonetheless, Terry has not accepted the offer yet, and could potentially end up in a non-playing role with Chelsea.
