Louis van Gaal has stated he will be the manager of Manchester United next season.

Multiple reports have previously stated that former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will take over at Old Trafford next season.

“Next year you will see me again,” Van Gaal said when asked about his future with Manchester United.

“We always knew that the process would take three years. I wanted to sign only for two years. The club wanted me to sign for three years, not me. I signed for three years.”

LvG signed a three-year deal to become the boss of Manchester United in 2014.

Today’s draw against Leicester City has all but guaranteed that Man U will not be playing in the Champions League next season.

Although Manchester United sit fifth in the Premier League table, they have played much better during the end of the season. New additions to the starting 11, such as Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard, have certainly given hope to a bright future.

LvG’s side will be playing in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium against Crystal Palace on May 21. LvG firmly believes a cup title will cement his chances of remaining his job.
