Louis van Gaal spoke ahead of the FA cup semi-final clash against Everton, regarding the difficulty in selecting 18 players when he has 24 players available.
“I have to select 18 players and I now have 24 players fit so I have to disappoint 6 players now and that’s not fine for a manager”
Manchester United face Everton on Saturday in the FA Cup semi-final, as they see a fine winning run and would like to continue with the momentum.
Van Gaal accepted that every player wants to play in the semi-final and it is tough for him to leave anybody out of the team. But in the end, he has to do the dirty job of leaving 6 players out of the semi-final clash.
Manchester United have only 3 players missing- Schweinsteiger, Adnan Januzaj and Luke Shaw. None of them are fit enough to be in action, said the manager. Despite a tough selection task for the semi-final, the positive thing for Manchester United and Louis Van Gaal is that their bench will be capable enough to make an impact in the match.
