Fellaini reveals Manchester United’s Top Priority

“This season the league is crazy, every team can lose points so we have to fight until the end. To win a trophy is great and we hope to do that, but to play in the Champions League next season is very important,” said Marouane Fellaini in United’s official matchday programme, United Review. Obviously stating that a top four finish in the EPL is more important than an FA Cup trophy.

The Belgian highlights the importance of reaching top four, as a Champions League spot is their prime target. Fellaini ensures that their aim is to finish the season on a high.

Fellaini’s goal against West Ham United last week assured Manchester United a place in the FA Cup semi-final, which is to be held in Wembley. The Red Devil’s face Everton on the road to reach the FA Cup final.

The midfielder says finishing in top four will be tough, but they have the quality to compete against other teams. Manchester United need to play on the front foot as they face an attacking Crystal Palace side at Old Trafford, admits Fellaini.

Manchester United do have things in their favour for now as Manchester City drew against Newcastle United, which has given The Red Devils a chance to narrow the gap between them and 4th place, with Arsenal to play West Ham United on Thursday.
