Chelsea Loan Watch: Defender’s Successful Season in Turkey

Kenneth Omeruo, the 22-year-old Chelsea defender, is out on loan to a top-flight Turkish side Kasimpasa from Chelsea. Also, the Chelsea youngster has played in each game of Nigeria at the 2014 World Cup and won the Africa Cup of Nations the year before; Omeruo is definitely a top talent in the Chelsea loan system.

The Nigerian international is a physical presence in defence and makes life tough for strikers. With six matches to play, Kasimpasa has reached an impressive 5th spot in the Turkish League and their recent achievements include defeating top-of-the-table Besiktas. Kenneth has featured in all the games this season except for the games he missed in the course of injuries.

Kenneth is a young player who still has lots of playing years ahead of him. Even though he has been impressive this season in Turkey, a return for him to parent club Chelsea seems unlikely. Antonio Conte will need to scan a long list of players who are out on loan and decide the future of youngsters like Kenneth.
