Chelsea’s John Terry has made a heart-warming gesture of paying for the funeral of an 8-year-old fan who was suffering from Leukaemia since the age of 3. Tommi Miller died following a long struggle with Leukaemia.

Tommi died on the afternoon of Thursday, March 31 after an unsuccessful attempt to carry out a bone marrow transplant. One of the family friends of Tommi reached Terry via Instagram, to which Terry immediately asked how much the funeral would cost. Terry contacted the funeral director to make sure that the plea was legitimate and accepted to pay £1,600.

Tommi met Chelsea players during his visit to Stamford Bridge. Tommi’s mother, Ruth explained how Terry sent a personal letter before Tommi was put on life support. He has also received a letter on behalf of whole club which had been signed by Gary Cahill. Terry told Cambridge News that he was devastated to hear of him passing away.
