Manchester United and Tottenham in a battle to sign 21-year old star

Manchester United and Tottenham are reportedly keen to sign Hull City’s left back Andrew Robertson in the summer, according to the Daily Star.

The 21-year old is enjoying a great run with the Championship side. They may not be in the Championship for long however, as they’re currently second in the FL Championship and could be back in England’s top flight next season.

Manchester United are currently looking at brining the youngster to Old Trafford next summer to give current left back Luke Shaw some competition. He also would add tremendous depth to United’s squad.

Tottenham are also reportedly interested in the left back after scouting him. I don’t believe Spurs will look to acquire Robertson in the summer as Pochettino already has two first-team quality left backs in Danny Rose and Ben Davies. However if one gets injured or is sold in the summer he could be considered as a replacement. Again, I do think that’s unlikely though.

Manchester City and Arsenal are also interested in Robertson.

Robertson is a pacey left-back who is able to get up and down the pitch and can deliver great balls into the box. If Hull City somehow fail to get promoted, they could be tempted by some of the bigger clubs to sell Robertson in the summer.

Do you think Robertson would be a good signing?
