Klopp identifies man to solve Liverpool’s crisis in front of goal

Jurgen Klopp has ordered the Liverpool board to go all out to secure the services of Javier Hernandez, according to reports from the Metro

Liverpool recently succumbed to a disappointing 1-0 home loss at the hands of fierce rivals Manchester United and one of the evident reasons behind the Reds’ loss was due to their inability to convert chances.

Hernandez a target for Liverpool

It is now clear to see that Liverpool need to strengthen their attack during the January transfer window in order to stand any chance of finishing in one of the Champions League positions this season and with Christian Benteke out of favour while Daniel Sturridge struggling with injuries, manager Jurgen Klopp’s pursuit to sign a new attacker has been further accelerated.

A host of names have been bandied about as being targets for Liverpool but according to reports from the Metro, Klopp has now set his sights on signing former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

Hernandez has been one of the most prolific strikers around in Europe this season after moving to Bayer Leverkusen over the summer and as a result, the Mexican international has already been linked with a move back to the Premier League.

Klopp is said to have been very impressed by what he has seen of Hernandez and has reportedly ordered the club hierarchy to pursue the services of the Leverkusen star as soon as possible, with the January transfer window closing in two weeks.
