Premier League giants Chelsea have entered negotiations over the signing of Amadou Diawara, according to reports from the Daily Star

Having endured a terrible first half to the season, it is widely expected that Chelsea will be looking to strengthen their squad during the January transfer window.

The likes of Alex Teixeira and Jackson Martinez have been linked with a move to Chelsea which means that manager Guus Hiddink is looking to strengthen his attack and it can now be revealed that the Dutchman is looking to reinforce other areas of the Blues’ squad as well.

Now according to reports from the Daily Star, it has been claimed that Hiddink is planning to beef up his midfield lineup with the signing of Bologna star Amadou Diawara.

Diawara has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the past 12 months and the midfielder has managed to establish himself as an integral part of the Bologna side this season.

At just 18, many feel that Diawara has a big future in the game and it has been no surprise whatsoever to see the youngster being linked with some of the very best clubs around in the world, among which Chelsea have been mentioned on more than one occasion.

As a further development to the story, it has been claimed that Chelsea have ramped up their pursuit for Diawara by entering talks with Bologna for the midfielder and the Premier League giants are said to be confident of signing the young star for around £10million.
