Reports from Sky Sports have revealed that manager Louis Van Gaal is seriously considering recalling teenage forward James Wilson back from his loan spell at Championship side Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Red Devils have been seriously short of goals this season and United fans were left bemused when their Dutch manager agreed to send the promising young forward to the Championship barely three weeks ago. 20-year-old Wilson made a fantastic start to life in the second division as he scored two goals in his first two games for the Seagulls.

United have been in despicable form recently after being knocked out of the Champions League at the hands of Wolfsburg while also being subject to defeat at the hands of lowly Bournemouth.

Antony Martial and Wayne Rooney are the only two recognized forwards at the club right now and one would have thought that United would have benefited from having a young talent like Wilson to call upon. Van Gaal however, pulled a rabbit out of the hat by sending the youngster on loan not for a month or two, but till the end of the current season.

Wilson however seems motivated to make his tenure at Brighton a success. The forward said, “I’m here for the manager and for the fans, so my full focus is on Brighton. It’s one of them, I’m here for the season, I think I can be recalled anyway, but if I’m not needed then I can show my worth at Brighton.”
