Alexis Sanchez was able to maintain his incredible form as Arsenal cruised to a 3-0 victory over Manchester United.  Arsenal were able to jump out in front early in the game with goals from Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in the 6th and 7th minutes.

Sanchez then added a third goal on a well placed strike that fired passed Manchester United goalie David De Gea to make it 3-0 Arsenal only 20 minutes into the game.  The remainder of the game was mostly uneventful, as Arsenal was easily able to hang onto their lead and secure a key 3-0 victory.

Both Sanchez and Mesut Ozil played very well and their performances are the main reason that Arsenal was able to dominate the game.  Ozil finished with an assist and a goal, but the fabulous strike in the 20th minute from Sanchez is what gives him player of game honors.  In addition to his 2 goals, Sanchez was also able to draw 4 fouls, make 2 key passes, and complete 3 successful dribbles.

Sanchez’s performance was not particularly surprising, as he has been in top-notch form lately.  In his past 3 games in all competitions Sanchez has scored 6 goals, and he has 1 assist.  Sanchez has also demonstrated great dribbling ability as well as an ability to draw fouls in dangerous areas of the field.  If Sanchez can maintain his good run of form for a while, it can hopefully spark a winning streak for the Gunners.

The Premier League will take off next week for an international break, but it is key for Arsenal that Sanchez can come back in good form.  Arsenal plays a critical game in the Champions League group stage on October 20th against Bayern Munich.  The Gunners desperately need a victory to have hope to advance in the tournament and they will need Alexis Sanchez to be at his absolute best in order to do so.
