Manchester United enter £21million agreement for star

De Gea

According to reports from Spain, Manchester United have finally agreed to sell David De Gea to Real Madrid for a fee of around £21million

The David De Gea transfer saga this summer has been a tiring one for Manchester United and even also for the Real Madrid faithful.

Despite incessant reports coming out that De Gea had agreed a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, the goalkeeper remains a Manchester United player and has reported back to pre-season training at the club’s Carrington base recently.

De Gea has been strongly tipped to join Madrid this summer

Madrid are intent on getting the deal done this summer though and their decision to offload club legend Iker Casillas to Porto serves to testify this fact.

United are hopeful of keeping hold of De Gea but with the 24-year old refusing to sign a contract extension, the Red Devils have been resigned to losing their star man for quite a while now.

The only factor stopping the potential transfer is the two parties not being able to agree on a transfer fee for De Gea.

United value De Gea close to £30million but Madrid have only placed bids in the region of around £15-18 million and such offers have immediately been rebuffed by the Red Devils.

De Gea to finally replace Casillas at Real Madrid

Now in a brand new development to the transfer saga, it has revealed by Spanish publication El Confidencial that Manchester United and Real Madrid have finally been able to agree on a fee for De Gea.

The reports claim that United have agreed to sell De Gea for a fee close to £21.3million and will give the goalkeeper permission to hold talks with the Spanish giants.

In addition, it has also been reported that De Gea will be signing a lucrative 6-year contract at the Santiago Bernabeu and the official confirmation of the transfer is expected to be made within the next week.
