The U-20 FIFA 2015 World Cup (Mundial) match between Mexico vs Serbia will take place this Friday, June 5, 2015 (9:00 PM Pacific) at the Otago Stadium. Mexico will take on Serbia after their agonizing triumph against Uruguay last Wednesday. The winner of this game will secure a place in the next round, while a tie gives both sides a good opportunity to finish in second place, or as one of the four best third-placed teams.

Group D has thus far been the most competitive in this U-20 World Cup which is played in New Zealand. All four teams (Mexico, Serbia, Uruguay, and Mali) have won a game, and lost the other. While the goal difference has allowed Serbia to momentarily be on top of the group, this Friday they could finish as the worst in the group.

Mexico has demonstrated good quality on the offensive side led by Pachuca offensive winger, Hirving Lozano. The ‘tricolor’ have dominated their previous two games, but they have also been ineffective in front of the goal. Against Serbia, they will attempt to improve in that manner, and in that way score the 3 points which will lead them into the next round.

Mexico vs Serbia Prediction

The Mexico vs Serbia match will be an intense game where the winner secures access into the round-of-16. Both sides have demonstrated their worth, but this game will test their nerves, and most importantly, their performance while under pressure. This game will be dominated by Mexico’s quick attack on the offensive wings, and while it will be a low scoring game, the CONCACAF side will come out victorious. The final score in this U-20 World Cup match will end in a 3-1 win for Mexico.
