Possible Manchester United Lineup vs Hull City

As Giggs prepares his side for their final home game of an embarrassing campaign, all thoughts are now beginning to turn to exactly who will be coming in and who will moving on in the summer.

After a saddening display against Sunderland, you perhaps feel for Moyes in a way. The players that were selected decided not to show up once again in front of their home fans, with Fletcher, Carrick and Nani all particularly ineffectual, and Hernandez clearly out of practice and form.

Despite the fact that Giggs’ team selection was pretty much as baffling as that chosen by Moyes (seriously where is Januzaj?), those that were chosen should easily have had enough to take Sunderland at home. How embarrassing for those involved, proof that it hasn’t just been Moyes that has been the problem this year. A mass exodus (most of it involuntary) is surely on the cards once the new manager is installed.

Before any of that can start, Hull come for what is essentially a dead rubber most notable for the likelihood that it will Ryan Giggs’ last chance to play a competitive game at Old Trafford. He will also be joined by 3 of the back four in Vidic, Ferdinand and Evra, all who will either most definitely, or most likely not be wearing the red of United next season.

Perhaps Rooney will be fit and Van Persie will also start for the first time since his hat-trick in one of the only memorable moments for United fans this year. Giggs may well be tempted to try to fit in 4 or 5 creative players into the same starting line-up. It’s unlikely, but at this stage he’s really got nothing to lose.
