With Sunderland the visitors to Old Trafford, those involved in the relegation battle around them will be hoping that Ryan Giggs’ men can put on a similar performance to that which saw off Norwich last time out.
It was a surprising team line-up last time out, and sure enough, United started in the sluggish manner so often witnessed all season.
With the introduction of Juan Mata though, things very quickly turned and the Spaniard added two goals to his tally for the season. It is thought that the class of ’92 are actually not overly keen on Mata according to sources within Carrington, so it will be interesting to see how that particular one unfolds.
In other news there is also an outside chance that Van Persie could get a place on the bench. He has been training and is desperate to play for United again before the World Cup.
Januzaj is part of Belgium’s World Cup plans now, and he will also be keen to play. As for Young and Valencia, there is a chance that under Giggs they will be invited out of the side, and maybe the club if he takes the reigns.
