Liverpool Player on the Brink of Making History – Amazing Record

Liverpool will have five ‘finals’ – five matchweeks in which both players and fans hope to end a 24-year-long drought. Over the weekend, they will face their the most serious competitor, Manchester City, and one player is a connection between those clubs, along with Arsenal. The player from Ivory Coast, Kolo Toure, has a chance to become the first player to win the Premier League with three different clubs.

A decade ago, the famous generation of Arsenal “Invincibles” won the last trophy for the team from North London. The Ivorian was a member of that generation and that was one of his five trophies with the Gunners.

Eight years later, in his third season as a Manchester City member, Kolo won the title for the second time. He wasn’t a first choice player, like in the previous two seasons at the Etihad, but he gave his contribution in 14 appearances that season.

This summer, he signed for Liverpool as a free transfer. Although he started as first choice defender, during the season he lost his play due to the return of form of the Skrtel-Agger duo and because of some errors that led to conceding goals. But, he did acquire some game time in this season, so his contribution is undeniable.

Toure can be part of Premier League history as the first player to achieve this. Just when we say “three titles in the Premier League with three different teams”, it sounds impressive.
