Manchester United After Everton Right-Back?

The Metro is reporting that David Moyes and Manchester United are in advanced talks with Seamus Coleman. Coleman has been in terrific form this season for Everton.

Coleman was purchased in 2009 from Sligo Rovers in Ireland for 60,000 pounds by David Moyes. That purchase has turned out to be a bargain for Everton.

Coleman, 26, plays right back for Everton, one of many positions that United need to strengthen come summer time. Coleman, though a defensive player, has scored seven goals this season in all competitions for The Toffees.

United are looking to spend roughly 15 million pounds for Coleman to come to Old Trafford this summer and reunite with Moyes. It is being reported that Everton were supposed to meet with Coleman in hopes of a contract extension, but that may all change with The Red Devils interested.

Moyes has a lot of areas to fill in his squad, so he is hoping that he can agree to a deal as soon as possible for the Irish right back.

Seamus Coleman does look to be in the form of his life at the moment. He can help United at that right back position because he is a better defender than Rafael, but also he is better going forward as well. Coleman would definitely be a good purchase for United, so I give it a ‘7’ as far as helping the squad.

Everton have had a great season and I do not think they will sell unless United splashes the cash this summer. I give this rumor, at the moment, about a 25 percent chance of happening. It will depend on Coleman and Everton and also how much United are willing to spend.
