Wikimedia: vageonthehow

Liverpool was able to manage three points today in a 4-3 thriller against Swansea.

GK: Simon Mignolet 6.5/10

Mignolet in this one was helpless on all three goals, but at the same time did show shakiness in a few situations.

LB: Glen Johnson 7/10

Judging Johnson’s performance considering this is his first appearance in about a month is only fair. He was visibly rusty with his touch and passing. However, he was still on par with the standard for Liverpool outside backs this season and a welcome sight back to the lineup.

CB: Daniel Agger 9/10

Best player in the back line today for Liverpool by far, providing solid tackling and composure throughout his 63 minutes.

CB: Martin Skrtel 4/10

Worst player for Liverpool overall, individually being responsible for two of the goals given up. In a one minute span he turned the ball over, received a yellow card, and deflected in the subsequent free kick for a goal. He followed that up by giving a needless penalty at the start of the second half.

RB: Jon Flanagan 6/10

Turning in his usual poor performance, his main contribution was being there to fill space as one of the required 11 to play.

LM: Raheem Sterling 8/10

Got Liverpool going early with a strong counter attacking play for the first goal, punctuated by a precise outside of the foot through ball to Daniel Sturridge.

CM: Steven Gerrard 7.5/10

Though largely held in check and forced to defend, Gerrard was still able to provide one of his trademark long balls to Suarez which set up the game winning goal.

RCM: Jordan Henderson 9/10

Man of the match for Liverpool scoring a pair of goals, the first of which demonstrated great skill. The second strike was payoff for the work rate he showed all match.

LCM: Phillipe Coutinho 6.5/10

Not a strong performance for Coutinho who was not his usual self in the attack.

RM: Daniel Sturridge 9/10

The tear continued today for Sturridge as he added two more goals to his tally for the season along with an assist. This extends his streak to nine consecutive Premier League matches getting on the score sheet, which is the second longest streak of all time.

ST: Luis Suarez 8/10

Suarez was his usual dangerous self in the attack providing an assist, moving him into a tie for the league lead in that category.

Substitutes:

LCM: Joe Allen 8.5/10

Move of the game for Liverpool to bring on Allen who slid into a central midfield position, pushing Coutinho to the wing. He made things more difficult with some up front pressure in the middle of the park for Swansea, who to that point were having their way there and causing Liverpool real problems.

CB: Kolo Toure 8/10

Turned in a solid veteran performance in replace of Agger, calmly adjusting to the chaotic nature of the game.

RM: Victor Moses N/A

Was a ghost on the field for ten minutes.
