Next THREE Arsenal Matches Might Decide The Season

After Arsenal’s abysmal showing at Anfield on Saturday, fans are asking whether the Gunners have it in themselves to win the big one. The 5-1 riot by Liverpool over the North London side didn’t do them [Arsenal] any good to their title hopes, as they now stand in second place with 55 points, a point below league leaders Chelsea.

With a ridiculous sequence of fixtures against Manchester United in the premier league, Liverpool in the FA Cup, and Bayern Munich in the Champions League, only a strong show of character and tactical discipline by the players can end their 8-year craving for silverware.

A player that was disappointing in every respect of the word was one Mesut Ozil. You would expect the £42.5M record signing to rise to the occasion and become Arsenal’s play-making saviour, but the German appeared to be a shadow of his old self. Clearly the midfielder wasn’t giving his best, as he appeared weak and resigned on and without the ball.

With Kieran Gibbs not match fit and Aaron Ramsey a while away from full fitness, Wenger will be hoping that the return of Mathieu Flamini will mark an end to their insipid midfield play.

So, can Arsenal still win the big one? Well, if they sort out their defensive frailties, add some scintillating play to their midfield and a bit of drive to the attack, they could still win the big one.

The Gunners are set to face Champions Manchester United in a mid-week premier league fixture at the Emirates in what promises to be an exciting clash.
