After all the struggles Manchester United has endured this season, this day finally brought good news about a potential transfer target during the summer transfer window. Since Fellaini didn’t manage to find his form ever at Old Trafford, Moyes will try to sign Tiote, in order to give his side a much needed “engine” in the center of pitch. The Ivorian was linked with Moyes in past seasons, during the Scot’s time at Goodison Park. Now, after Newcastle failed to find a substitution for Cabaye (whom left England to join PSG), this might cause an exodus of players from Newcastle, and this is an opportunity for Moyes to sign a reliable midfielder.

And while we wait for the start of summer transfer window, recent reports in today’s news say that Ferdinand and Lingard will get a chance once again to impress their manager. The Former England captain was first choice defender in the first six match weeks, but ever since that, he has played only once in the Premier League. The Veteran was struggling with injuries, but even when he was fit, Evans and Smalling were preferred as partners in the heart of defense, along with Vidic. Ferdinand’s contract ends this summer and there are lots of rumors that he will probably leave Old Trafford after 12 years of playing there.

On the other side, youngster Jesse Lingard will get a new chance to impress the manager. After spending the first half of the season on loan at Birmingham City, his stats have been amazing – 6 goals in 13 appearances! The player was also very good in the preseason, as he was Manchester United’s best striker in that period, with four goals on his agenda. He is included in the club’s roster for the knock-out phase of the UEFA Champions League and maybe this is a new start for the youngster. Fans have reasons to be optimistic about this news – if Lingard manages to seize the opportunity like Januzaj, this can be another youngster with great future at Old Trafford.
