Atlas- desperate for points
Atlas and Queretaro are fighting to avoid relegation, they are both tied with the exact amount of points in the relegation coefficient table. This basically means that whichever team ends with the least amount of points in the Clausura 2013 will be relegated to the Ascenso MX. Atlas kept up with Queretaro last week by getting a hard-earned draw at Estadio Universitario against Pumas.
Omar Bravo came up big in his debut for Atlas, scoring the game-tying goal for his squad, which lead to a very valuable point. Atlas beefed up its offense a bit with the additions of Bravo and Vuoso, badly needed acquisitions for a team that has struggled the past couple of seasons with its offense.
At home, Atlas must make sure to squeeze every single point it can, losing can not be an option, at the very minimum a draw is expected. Queretaro will face Pumas this week, and a draw or even a win wouldn’t be too much of a surprise, that is why Atlas must look to earn some points against Pachuca.
Solid start for Pachuca
After the debacle that was Hugo Sanchez, Pachuca decided to end his contract after just one season, and replaced him with Argentinian Gabriel Caballero. Caballero had a wonderful debut leading his squad, convincingly defeating Atlante 2-0 at home. Pachuca is looking to once again make it into the playoffs, after missing the Apertura 2012 playoffs by several points.

This will be a tight match, Atlas will try to look for the win without risking too much on the attack. Pachuca will be satisfied with a draw, and is likely to play defensively and look for the counterattack. The Atlas vs Pachuca match will end in a 1-1 draw that will benefit both teams.
