Outspoken Monterrey attacking midfielder, Angel Reyna, was transferred to C.F. Pachuca during the celebration of the Liga MX Draft. The mini draft prior to the beginning of the Clausura 2013 of the Liga MX has allowed several players to find new teams; however, Reyna is the player that called the most attention amongst teams.
Xolos of Tijuana were rumored to be a strong competitor in signing the talented player, but Pachuca who has made incredible investments this year won the right to the player. Reyna will play for a team that has signed 8 players this winter off-season, and nonetheless he will be a key player in their tactical scheme.
Prior to this transfer, Pachuca also sent defender Leobardo Lopez to Monterrey in exchange of forward Dario Carreño. Reyna puts an end to an offseason filled with criticism, and speculation where it is mentioned he was kicked out of the Monterrey squad where he was left out of the FIFA Club World Cup. Also, by singing with Pachuca, any rumors left that he would sign with Chivas of Guadalajara are finished.
