The Pachuca vs Jaguares match will be played this Saturday, November 10, 2012 (8:00 PM EDT) at the Estadio Hidalgo.  The ‘tuzos’ will give its season a farewell when they face Jaguares at home it what could be Hugo Sanchez‘s last game as coach of Pachuca.  On the other hand, after a disastrous start to the season, Jaguares could gain a playoff seed if it were to win.

Pachuca has had a terrible season because it was the team that brought in the best and most reinforcements in the preseason.  This is a team who has one of the best starting lineups, and probably the best bench; however, they have been weak on offense and the defense has not done enough to keep the shutout on the back.  Pachuca will be remembered this season as a bust because they were at one point the league’s favorite for the title.  Sadly, they were never on the top positions, and they never showed good signs of quality soccer.  On Saturday night they will attempt to finish the season on a high note in front of their fans and hope a win could translate into more wins for next season.

Jaguares currently lies in 9th place of the standings with 22 points, and a win plus a series of results could put them in the ‘liguilla’.  After starting the season as the worst defense in the league, Jaguares came back to life and has been one of the best offenses and teams in the second half of the Apertura 2012.  In order to qualify to the playoffs, Chiapas needs a win plus teams like Monterrey and Chivas to not win.

Prediction:  The Pachuca vs Jaguares match will be an intense game for Chiapas because they play for a slim chance of qualifying into the playoffs.  Jaguares has better a slightly better team than Pachuca, and this will allow them to obtain the result at the Hidalgo.  Jaguares wins 2-1.
