The Tijuana Xolos have been among the most active teams in the Liga MX transfer window with 10 official signings at the moment. Of course, with so many signings, Club Tijuana will also need to move some players and it looks like Gibran Lajud will be the first to go.
Lajud was recently spotted landing at the Torreon airport and is all set to sign for Santos Laguna. The move is set to be a swap deal as Club Tijuana will get Jonathan Orozco as confirmed by Xolos’ manager Pablo Guede.
Lajud (26) has spent his entire senior career with Club Tijuana dating back to 2014. The Mexican shot-stopper has registered over 100 appearances for the Aztec Canines, but was receiving heavy criticism in his last two seasons.
Lajud was considered for the Mexico national team at one point, but his performance had dropped in recent tournaments. The 26-year-old is not guaranteed to start at Santos Laguna with young keeper Carlos Acevedo also on the team.

He will also have big shoes to fill as Jonathan Orozco was the club captain and was beloved by the Santos Laguna fanbase.
