This Thursday, August 9, it was officially announced by Club Pachuca that Argentine striker Leonardo Ulloa has been transferred from Leicester City in the Premier League to the ‘tuzos’ in Mexico. The veteran forward had been with The Foxes since 2014 and had been part of the historic team that won the Premier League under Claudio Ranieri in the 2015-16 season.
In this time, Ulloa made 86 Premier League appearances with Leicester City and managed to score 18 goals. The 32-year-old started his professional career in 2002 with CAI in Argentina, then went on to play with San Lorenzo, Arsenal de Sarandi, and Olimpo in his native country.
The South American then made his leap to Europe in 2008 with Castellon in Spain and then played for Almeria from 2010-2013. After scoring 39 goals in 90 appearances with Almeria, Ulloa made his jump to England with Brighton & Hove Albion before reaching Leicester in 2014.
Algo tenemos en común con Ulloa. Ambos ya fuimos campeones de la Sudamericana.

The Argentine recently made his return to Brighton last season in a loan deal but was very disappointing with just a goal in 10 appearances. Ulloa will now try and resurrect his career in Mexico with a team that is struggling heavily to kick off the 2018 Apertura season.
Pachuca is currently dead last in the Liga MX with no points and has only scored a goal after three games to begin the new season. Los Tuzos have failed to make the playoffs in the last three seasons and have missed the presence of a consistent forward.
The team has talented players like Erick Gutierrez, who was at the World Cup with Mexico, and Victor Guzman, who is a promising attacking midfielder. Some recent standouts to have played with the club include Japanese superstar Keisuke Honda and Hirving Lozano of PSV Eindhoven.
Pachuca does have the talent to succeed along with six league titles under its belt and it will be interesting to see how Ulloa can adapt to his new surroundings.
