Ex-Tottenham star makes a big claim about Harry Kane

Former Tottenham star Jermaine Jenas has said that Premier League all-time top scorer Alan Shearer believes that Harry Kane could end up spending time outside the Premier League and still go on to beat his record for most goals scored in the English top-flight.

Kane scored a penalty on Sunday to earn his side a 2-2 draw against Liverpool in the Premier League and in the process, he reached his 100th top-flight goal.

Kane has reached the milestone in 107 games and in the process, he has become the quickest player thus far to reach the landmark.

Kane still has some way if he wants to break Shearer’s record of 283 goals but Jenas has said that the Newcastle legend believes that the 24-year-old Kane could break the record even if he plays outside England.

“The biggest thing Harry needs to do to break Alan Shearer’s goalscoring record is to stay in the Premier League,” he told wrote on Unibet.

“I spoke to Shearer about Harry the other day and he thinks, if Harry stays injury free, he could easily go to Madrid and come back and still beat the record.”
