Reason why Leeds might have already wrapped up January transfer business revealed

Leeds United have completed just a handful of signings this month, with Laurens De Bock and Adam Forshaw arriving to join the first team.

Yosuke Ideguchi has gone on loan to Cultural Leonesa after his signing, while Aapo Halme and Sam Dalby have been signed up for the development squad.

Manager Thomas Christiansen is still looking to add one or two more recruitments to his squad as a playoff spot remains the target, but it seems the club have finished business for the transfer window.

According to former Sky Sports journalist and credible transfer source Pete O’Rourke, Leeds currently don’t have enough money in their budget to bring in a striker, and aren’t planning on making anymore signings before Wednesday transfer deadline.

Should backup goalie Andy Lonergan eventually complete a move to Sunderland, the club will try and bring another shotstopper on loan to cover for Felix Wiedwald.

Leeds spent £4.5million on Forshaw and £1.5million on De Bock, and it will come as a surprise if the reports that they are cash-strapped prove to be true.
