Leeds official reportedly explained the background of recent transfer business

The Daily Mail have transmitted the words of the Leeds United managing director Angus Kinnear regarding the transfer of Adam Forshaw that took place last week.

Leeds have completed the transfer of Forshaw from Middlesbrough for a fee of £4.5 million only last week after the club’s manager Thomas Christiansen identified him as a top priority this winter.

According to Kinnear’s words, Forshaw’s will to come to the ranks of the Whites was crucial to make this deal go through.

He has also stated that the 26-year-old midfielder has rejected some important offers to finalize his move to Elland Road.

He said, “Full credit to him, he’s come to Leeds United, and the deal has happened because he wants to be in Leeds United.

“He made every effort to be here including turning down more attractive offers for him in terms of finance. I think that’s a great credit to him.

“That’s the type of player we want at the club. We want people who are going to crawl over broken glass to be here, and we think he’ll add a lot to the midfield,” he told on BBC Radio Leeds.

The arrival of the former Brantford player is a major boost for Leeds, as they are trying to reach Premier League promotion this season. If Leeds succeed in landing a quality forward by the end of January, they will further increase their odds in the race.

The Whites’ fans are desperate to see their club in the top-flight again, and their chances are growing every day.
