Rangers dealt blow in their January transfer pursuit of former Championship winger

As per The Scottish Sun, Rangers’ chances of landing Kilmarnock winger Jordan Jones have been dealt a huge blow as Killie will knock back their £350,000 bid.

The 23-year-old former Middlesbrough is in the plans of manager Graeme Murty as a he gives the squad at Ibrox a facelift, and it’s understood that an opening bid has already been tabled.

However, the Ayrshire outfit won’t consider selling Jones this window – at least, not for that price.

The impressive form of the wideman this season earned him his first cap for North Ireland last November, and it’s bound to be the first of plenty.

Rangers want Jones for his pace, dribbling and creativity, and those quality no doubt would help strengthen their attack.

While his return of 6 goals in 68 appearances over the course of the last 18 months isn’t the most impressive, his work rate is enviable.

With just halfway into the winter transfer window, the Light Blues still have enough time to seek other targets should they hit a brickwall in their pursuit of Jones.
