Leeds reportedly set sights on high-quality forward available for £12 million

Football Insider has suggested that Leeds United officials are closely monitoring Preston North End forward Jordan Hugill. Now, Bristol Post have broadcasted the same news and the player’s valuation is around £12 million.

Hugill has had a very successful season with Preston, as he has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 25 league matches so far.

Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen has been chasing a quality forward since the beginning of January and is now looking at Hugill.

After unsuccessful attempts to bring Orlando City striker Cyle Larin and Peterborough United’ Jack Marriott, Hugill seems to be the latest choice, and the former Port Vale striker perfectly fits the profile.

He has plenty of experience in Championship, he times his runs perfectly and posses lethal finishing, which could prove to be a huge asset for Leeds.

We will see whether Preston manager Peter Ridsdale would be ready to give up on his best attacker, but Leeds will have to put serious efforts to land the 25-year-old at Elland Road.
