Bristol Post have broadcasted the news from Belgium regarding Wolverhampton Wanderers’ interest in Club Brugge’ defender Laurens De Bock, who is also being monitored by Leeds United.
The 25-year-old left-back arrived at Jan Breydel Stadium back in 2013 from Lokeren and established himself as a regular first-team player. However, due to injuries, De Bock has managed to collect only nine appearances in the Jupiler Pro League this season.
Wolves’ manager Nuno Espirito Santo wants to boost his backline, and he identified De Bock as a primary target. However, Championship leaders will face strong competition from Leeds for the signature of Belgian international.
On the other hand, Leeds United manager Thomas Christiansen is looking to find a backup option for the experienced Gaetano Berardi on the left flank.
As things stand, De Bock’s career in Belgium is nearing its end, and it is probable that we will be witnessing Championship side’s battle for the defender’s services in January.
