Rangers reportedly close to bringing back loanee to Ibrox

As The Scottish Sun reports, Rangers are very close to bringing back Andy Halliday, who is on loan at the Azerbaijan club Gabala.

The Scottish midfielder has agreed on a season-long loan deal with Gabala in the summer, but he’s set to be back to Rangers after only six months.

Halliday has managed to feature in only three matches in the domestic championship with his new team and is expected to return to help the team for the rest of the league campaign.

The former Bradford City footballer plays as a midfielder and Rangers need some creative player to boost their game. The 26-year-old is a tenacious box-to-box midfielder, and manager Graeme Murty believes that he could be the missing part of his midfield.

Halliday went on a loan for disagreement with the former manager Pedro Caixinha, but a new chief of staff seriously counted on him for the second part of the season.
