West Ham reportedly identify £4million-rated quality man as replacement for £30million target

West Ham’ chances of landing Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi have taken a huge hit after the La Liga giants fired manager Eduardo Berizzi last week.

As a result of the sacking, transfers have been put on hold as the club search for a new boss, and the French star could still spend the rest of the campaign in Spain.

With Arsenal and Everton stronger suitors for N’Zonzi’s signature, the Hammers have never been favorites for the £30million-rated midfield powerhouse, and have now identified Hibernian midfielder John McGinn, 23, as a replacement.

McGinn, a Scotland international, has been one of the best performers in the Scottish topflight this term, attracting the duo of Celtic and Rangers as a result.

Rated £4million, he represents an affordable, yet quality option for West Ham.

McGinn has an impressive passing ability that has immensely been taken a notch higher this term, while his defensive abilities in the middle of the park makes him a great box-to-box midfielder in the making.

He registered 5 goals and 10 assists across all competitions last term and has been involved in 3 league goals and assists apiece this term to continue his brilliance.
