Why £15million West Ham man might have played his last game for the club

West Ham striker Diafra Sakho was reportedly involved in a pre-match bust up with manager David Moyes prior to the League Cup game against Arsenal on Tuesday night.

The Senegalese was irked after finding out he didn’t make the starting XI for the game, and only agreed to make the bench after much persuasion.

Sakho, currently valued £15million by West Ham, might have played his last game for the club as Moyes is known to be a no-nonsense gaffer.

While the club have denied talks that the row was largely down to a £50,000 bonus that comes with every league start for Sakho, it can’t be denied that the 27-year-old badly wants to leave.

He has made that intent known again via his midweek outrage, and it’s believed Rennes and Championship side Cardiff are interested in his services.

Sakho have seen his last 2 attempts to leave West Ham fall through – one being as a result of a failed medical at West Brom this summer, while he also travelled to France to personally negotiate a move to Rennes.

A January exit now strongly appears to be on the book, and going by his action on Tuesday, he just might have kicked his last ball for West Ham.
