Rangers last won more than 3 games on a tear December 2016, and will be hoping to land their 3rd consecutive victory in a year when they host Ross County on Saturday.
Recent back-to-back victories against Aberdeen have presented them with the perfect backdrop for the weekend’s clash, but it’s not the first time the Lights Blues have come within a game of 3 wins in a row.
Indeed, they have recorded back-to-back victories on 10 occasions, and their inability to go one better has been of great concern to the players.
Speaking ahead of Ross County’s visit, Rangers star striker Kenny Miller revealed that the long-overdue streak has troubled the squad for almost a year, and it has been regularly discussed.
In his words: “We have talked about it a lot over the last seven months and it would be something for the team if we can put that little stat to bed”.
The Ross game wouldn’t have come at a better time for Rangers, though, with the 11th placed side winless and scoreless in their last 3 games.
Given the wins over the Dons have boosted their morale and catapulted them to 2nd place on the log, the Ibrox side are well-motivated to get another victory come weekend.
A win would come as a huge relief without a doubt.
