Having ended a run of 4 losses in a row with a 2-1 victory over Middlesbrough on Sunday, Leeds return to action midweek in great mental shape.
The Whites will be playing Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium on Wednesday night, and manager Thomas Christiansen appears to have rediscovered the winning formula following a poor run of games that saw them lose 6 of their last 8 league games.
Speaking to LUTV following the victory over Boro at Elland Road, the Whites boss claimed: “The three points were important and the team played very good.
“We have worked hard over the past two weeks and we believed we would take the three points, which we did.
“It was a good performance, we all needed to take responsibility including myself, but we knew we could beat this big team and I am very pleased with the win.
“Everyone did what they had to do, we showed character, controlled the game and deserved the victory, we were better than Middlesbrough in this game.
“I am very satisfied with how the players responded on the pitch, they understood the messages I gave them and in this sense it was perfect.
“All of the games are difficult now, on Wednesday we will come up against probably the strongest team in this league.
“We will go there with the same mentality though as we had against Middlesbrough, but we know there are still things that we must improve on and learn from.”
Wolves have lost just 3 games this season, winning 12 and drawing the other 2.
Leeds will have to be on top form if they are to leave with at least a point.
Should Leeds approach the game like they did Boro’s and put in an impressive performance, it could be the start of a solid run of results for them going forward.
