Leeds United boss makes worrying admission following Reading loss

Leeds United manager Thomas Christiansen has suggested that his side have lost confidence following their 1-0 defeat to Reading on Saturday.

Leeds appeared to lack confidence during the game and Christiansen admitted that his side lacked confidence following a controversial winner from Mo Barrow as well as a penalty miss from Pablo Hernandez.

Barrow tucked away a chance in the 85th minute after referee Jeremy Simpson allowed a pull on Hernandez to go about unpunished.

Hernandez was given a chance to equalize for his team from the penalty spot during the 93rd minute, however his poor effort ended up being saved by Vito Mannone.

Christiansen said after the game: “We’ll have to continue to work hard and especially to work with the minds of the players to take them back to where they’re confident.

“Confidence can put the ball in instead of missing, like the penalty, but we can work on that. From my point of view, they’re the same players who brought us to the good situation that we were in before these last three games.”
