Ex-Everton and West Ham man suspended by national team

Former Everton and West Ham striker Enner Valencia has been suspended by the Ecuador FA according to a report published the Sun.

The 27-year-old’s suspension comes as a result of him partying on the eve of a recent crucial World Cup qualifier.

The Ecuador FA are currently in a state of turmoil as the nation failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.  Valencia joined West Ham in 2014 following an impressive showing in the World Cup that year from Pachuca for £12 million.

However he never really managed to establish himself in England and only went on to score 10 goals from 68 games for the club.

He was also largely unsuccessful during his loan spell with Everton last season.  Valencia has now returned to Mexico where he is on the books of UANL.

Valencia along with four of his national team-mates have been suspended by the Ecuador FA.
