West Ham goalkeeper Joe Hart has said that his team are on an upward curve following their slow start to the season.
The Hammers claimed a much needed 1-0 victory over Swansea City in the Premier League this weekend which saw them rise out of the relegation zone to 15th place on the standings.
Hart himself had come under much criticism this season and some called for him to be demoted as the first choice goalkeeper for the England national team.
However the 30-year-old’s form appears to have improved since the last international break and he will be looking to regain the form that saw him achieve two Premier League titles with Manchester City.
Hart has now said about the improvement, “I only enjoy football if I am winning so it has been up and down, obviously, after a tough start. But we have dug deep recently since the last international break and got seven points out of a possible 12, which may not be great if you are going to win the title but was important for us.
“It was important what we have done (enjoyed an upward curve) and it was important that we dug deep and stuck together as a team. Hopefully we have set something up for when we come back now and we can push on.”
