West Ham risk losing £20million-rated £110,000-a-week star to Premier League rivals in January

As per The Sun, West Ham striker Andy Carroll could be heading back to Merseyside in January, as Everton are keen on making a £20million swoop on the former Liverpool star.

The Toffees cashed in on Romelu Lukaku for £75million during the summer, but couldn’t find the perfect like-for-like replacement.

Manager Ronald Koeman has eyes firmly set on Carroll as he looks for a solution to Everton’s goalscoring problem.

The 28-year-old injury-prone but lethal hitman has 18 months left on his current deal at the London Stadium, and the Hammers could be tempted into selling him in January should they get the right offer.

West Ham brought in Mexico international striker Javier Hernandez in the summer window, and might not hesitate to sell Carroll as they have a quality option in the former Manchester United man.

While they would gladly let go of the £110,000-a-week star, how Everton plan to keep him fit remains to be seen, but it seems they are willing to take the gamble and risk in order to save their campaign.
