West Ham goalkeeper Joe Hart has admitted that his own performance was not “high quality” as his team recorded a much needed 1-0 win over Swansea in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Hammers have been on the best of form this season after having lost four out of their several games thus far and frustrated fans made their thoughts known by being vocal at the London Stadium.
The East London club however managed to secure three valuable points late on in the game as DiafraSakho converted from Arthur Masuaku’s cross to secure the win late in the game.
Despite his team having won, Hart insisted that he feels that his own performance was not of a high standard and said, “We are relieved of course. It was a difficult strange game that understandably won’t get much airplay.
“It was a difficult atmosphere in some ways. I’m never going to criticise the fans, they come here and pay their money and have a right to their opinion. It was not a high-quality performance, I was not high quality today.
“We have to focus on the win. We have had seven points since the international break. It is on all of us to take the pressure off. We don’t get sucked into the speculation [about Bilic’s position], we just stuck together and fight hard.”
