Leicester City forward Demarai Gray was reportedly a target for Tottenham during the summer transfer window.
Known for his pace and tricks, the England youth international also attracted Bournemouth and a couple of other topflight sides.
The Foxes weren’t keen on letting their star youngster go, but it’s highly unlikely that they would be able to hold on to him for much longer, given the quality he oozes.
While Gray was disappointed for not getting his wish of leaving the King Power Stadium, he has since moved on, evident by his display for England under-21’s on Tuesday’s Euros qualifiers.
The former Birmingham City winger opened the scoring during the young Three Lions’ 3-nil victory over Latvia.
Gray picked up a pass from Swansea’s Tammy Abraham before charging towards a defender, shifting the ball to his right and curling a shot into the top right of the goal.
It’s not the first time the winger has scored such worldy, with the one he grabbed last season in a 4-1 loss to Manchester United still fresh on the minds of Red Devils fans.
Spurs sure can do with such quality and promising talent in a squad that doesn’t have a lot of top natural widemen.
His goal and performance elicited these reactions from Twitter users.
