West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has admitted that he will not be able to solve his club’s fortunes in the transfer market.
He instead believes that it will require hard work to improve the team’s fortunes. The Hammers are currently in poor form after having lost all three of their Premier League games thus far.
They have spent heavily this summer and brought in the likes of Pablo Zabaleta, Javier Hernandez, Marko Arnautovic and Joe Hart. The quartet have however thus far not managed to make the desired impact.
Bilic will know that should his side not perform over the next few games, he will probably be sacked. The Croatian said about the current situation at his club, “It’s not about the transfer window. OK, we were looking for one more players, but we had done a good job on paper in the transfer window.
“We made a good squad, a squad which looked good enough to have a good season. OK, it’s still early in the season, but it’s not about the transfer window. It wasn’t because of one player – we didn’t look good as a team.”
