With a deal now appearing imminent, Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce took the time to talk about Robert Snodgrass to the media.
The former Manchester United defender is no stranger to speaking his mind, and he’s once again not disappointed.
The manager told the Birmingham Mail that “he will add that bit of spark,” before saying that “he can play in any position across the front line,” and then stated “let’s hope we can do something.”
Now, most managers NEVER speak about a player until the deal is done, or at the very least, in advanced negotiations. This appears to be the case here as reports have suggested time and again, and it looks to mean that the Scot is likely to be signed up soon.
He’s endured a horrible time at West Ham since moving in January, barely getting a look-in after playing well for a truly terrible Hull in the first half of last season.
Aston Villa will be praying he’s the Hull version, and not the West Ham one, if and when he does sign.
