Tottenham left-back Danny Rose is edging closer to returning to action since picking up a knee injury in January, and that has alerted Manchester United and Inter Milan, the Mirror reports.
The 27-year-old England international has since gone under the knife, and it had appeared Spurs will not be bothered by suitors this summer as a result of his recuperation.
However, Rose is close to returning to full training in days, and there is a possibility that he gets back on the field before the end of the month.
Inter earlier put their interest in the defender on hold, but will now resume their attempt to lure him away, while United has long been on his tail.
Rose provided 2 goals and 2 assists before missing the last 4 months of last EPL season. Yet, he made the PFA Team of the Year, and his brilliance attracted the likes of Manchester City and co.
The former Leeds player agreed to a £70,000-a-week 5-year contract extension last summer, but both Inter and United can double his wages, and also offer him certain shots at the titles and trophies that have long eluded him.
Spurs will start the season with Ben Davies as their only recognized left-back, but would likely deploy Heung-min Son at left-wing-back if manager Mauricio Pochettino continues with his 3-man defence.
They would hope to be able to hang on to Rose for the new season with a late swoop from his suitors likely. Losing him could set them back as they haven’t made preparations to land another left-back yet.
