Attacker reportedly declares loyalty to Rangers and refuses England offer

Striker Josh Windass has turned a blind eye to offers from Rotherham and QPR, pledging his loyalty to the Gers, according to Daily Express.

Reports indicate Rotherham and QPR are keen about adding the attacker to their team and with Rangers boss, Pedro Caixinha busy revamping his side this summer, the transfer of Windass was anticipated.

However, the move is now unlikely to take place. Windass, 23, gave an imposing performance during the friendly match with Sheffield Wednesday revealing his intent of being with the Gers and has now categorically denied the possibility of a transfer taking place.

Quashing rumours of his possible transfer, Windass said, “I think I have been linked with every club down in England for the last two weeks but my mind has been firmly fixed on playing for Rangers and getting in this team.”

Rangers ended 39 points less than Champions Celtic during the previous season, attracting heavy criticism.

To further embarrass themselves,  Rangers were expelled from Europa League in the beginning of July, 2017 in the wake of their humiliating defeat at the hands of Luxembourg club Progres Niederkorn.
