Experienced 53-year-old reportedly has not been contacted over Leeds United job

The speculations about Leeds United’s new manager is seemingly nowhere near reaching the climax. Every day we have a new candidate emerging for the leading role at Elland Road.

So far, dozens of candidates have been involved in rumors regarding the position at Leeds, and one among them is Nigel Pearson, former manager of several big clubs in England.

The 53-year-old was one of the main favorites to take over Middlesbrough, but after Garry Monk had landed at Riverside Stadium, Pearson emerged as one of the possible solutions for Leeds United managerial role.

But, Inside futbol website is reporting that so far there hasn’t been any contact between two sides and that the deal is far away from becoming a reality.

Pearson has had a solid career as a manager. He was in charge at Southampton, Hull City, on two occasions with Leicester City, and his last job was with Derby County.

During his second staying with Leicester City, the team was promoted to the English Premier League, but eventually, he was sacked at the end of the season.
